Rome, Dec. 31 (LaPresse) – In his traditional New Year’s address, Russian President Vladimir Putin extended special greetings to soldiers and commanders involved in the war in Ukraine, which he customarily referred to as a “special military operation,” emphasizing Russian citizens’ confidence in the success of their troops. “I wish all our fighters and commanders a happy New Year! We believe in you and in our victory!” Putin declared, as reported by Tass. “The strength of our unity determines the sovereignty and security of the Fatherland, as well as its development and future,” the head of state stressed.
