Turkey: actor Can Yaman arrested as part of investigation into drug use

Rome, 10 January (LaPresse) – Well-known Turkish actor Can Yaman has been arrested along with six other local celebrities, including actress Selen Gorguzel, as part of an investigation by the Istanbul public prosecutor’s office that led to a large-scale anti-drug operation with raids on various nightclubs in the city. This was reported by the Turkish media. According to Hurriyet, the actor, famous in Italy for his recent starring role in the remake of the Sandokan saga, among other things, was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for blood tests to verify his actual drug use. During the same operation, the owners and managers of some of the clubs searched were also taken into custody.
