Crans-Montana (Switzerland), Jan 13 (LaPresse) – The Coercive Measures Court of the Canton of Valais announced in a statement that – at the request of the public prosecutor – it has imposed on Jessica Moretti, manager of the bar ‘Le Constellation’ in Crans-Montana together with her husband, “alternative measures to pre-trial detention due to the existence of a flight risk, the only risk cited by the public prosecutor.” These – it is explained – “are standard measures consisting of a ban on leaving Swiss territory, an obligation to deposit all her identity and residence documents, an obligation to report daily to a police station, and an obligation to provide adequate guarantees.” The court also specified that “since the public prosecutor did not request pre-trial detention, this coercive measure could not be ordered” by the court itself.
