Minneapolis (USA), Jan 25 (LaPresse) – Two eyewitnesses have declared under oath that Alex Pretti, the 37‑year‑old nurse killed by a federal agent in Minneapolis last Saturday, was not wielding any weapon at the time of the shooting, contradicting statements from Trump administration officials that the victim had approached armed. According to The Guardian, one of the witnesses, who filmed the shooting, reported that Pretti was trying to help another person when he was stopped and then shot by multiple agents, with no sign of a firearm. The second witness, a doctor living near the scene, confirmed that they did not see Pretti brandish any weapons and were initially prevented from providing aid. Reportedly, the victim had at least three wounds to the back, one to the chest and a possible one to the neck. These testimonies contradict federal officials’ statements that Pretti was an “armed man” who had allegedly threatened the agents.
