Crans-Montana: former municipal security manager under investigation

Milan, Jan. 28 (LaPresse) – The Valais Public Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating the fire that broke out on New Year’s Eve at the Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, has launched criminal proceedings against one of the former security managers of the municipality of Crans-Montana. According to Swiss television station RTS, the man, who was responsible for various fire safety checks at the Constellation bar, will be heard on February 9. His lawyer, David Aïoutz, has confirmed the news. Until now, only the owners of the bar, Jacques and Jessica Moretti, had been under investigation for the fire in which 40 people died.
