Minneapolis (Minnesota, USA), 28 January (LaPresse) – A man sprayed an unknown substance on Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar during a public meeting in Minneapolis. The man was detained by police officers. During her speech, Omar had called for the abolition of ICE and the resignation of National Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Minneapolis police said officers saw the man using a syringe to spray an unknown liquid on the congresswoman. The man, identified as Anthony Kazmierczak, 55, was arrested and taken to jail on charges of third-degree assault.
