Rome, 29 Jan. (LaPresse) – In Ukraine, Russia ‘has not achieved its goals, and I think it takes imagination to call a war that has been going on for five years a “special operation”.’ This was stated by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, chairman of the NATO Military Committee, speaking at the “New Year’s Forum” in Rome. ‘The attempt to conquer Kiev went badly,’ he added. ‘Putin’s goal was to have a second Belarus, and he didn’t succeed. He doesn’t even have all of Donbass.’ ‘So,’ he concluded, ‘this is a strategic failure of enormous proportions.’
