Rome, 2 February (LaPresse) – A 3-year-old Palestinian child died this morning following an attack by Israeli forces in southern Gaza. Al Jazeera reports that the incident occurred during a raid on the al-Mawasi tent city, a refugee camp along the Gaza coast near the city of Khan Younis. Israel, the Arab media outlet added, had designated the area a “humanitarian security zone”. According to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza, since the ceasefire came into effect on 10 October 2025, Israel has killed more than 500 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded another 1,400.
