Brussels, 3 Feb. (LaPresse) – “I have never had any direct or indirect contact, communication, or meeting with Jeffrey Epstein. I did not authorize any requests nor consent that anyone mention my name to Jeffrey Epstein, including politician and former European Union envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak. Any such mention was made without my knowledge. If Miroslav mentioned my name, it was for personal purposes, with which I had nothing to do. Furthermore, I have never been approached for any meeting or contact with Jeffrey Epstein, neither by Miroslav Lajcak nor anyone else. I am shocked that my name was used in that exchange without my knowledge or consent, and anyone could reject any implication of my involvement.” This was stated by Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic, via his spokesperson Balazs Ujvari, in the daily press briefing. Miroslav Lajcak is a Slovak politician and former European Union envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. “He resigned from the position of National Security Advisor to the Slovak Prime Minister. His EU services were carried out under the previous mandate, and his term as National Security Advisor ended last year and was not extended regarding security risks or threats. These matters also fall under national authorities, as they are responsible for them,” explains spokesperson Anitta Hipper.
