Washington (USA), Feb. 4 (LaPresse) – Nuclear talks between the United States and Iran are expected to take place in Oman on Friday. Axios, citing an Arab source, reports this. The same source said that the Trump administration accepted the Iranian request to move the talks from Turkey. Negotiations are still ongoing to decide whether the Arab and Muslim countries of the region will join the talks. Meanwhile, after naval skirmishes on Tuesday, when Tehran patrol boats tried to approach a US tanker in the Strait of Hormuz and the USS Lincoln shot down a Tehran drone that came too close, Donald Trump reportedly considered abandoning the planned talks with Iran. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing American officials. The same officials added that they do not know why the US president later decided differently.
