Milan, February 6 (LaPresse) – Jacques Moretti’s “adopted son” was questioned yesterday as part of the investigation into the Crans-Montana fire. Jean-Marc G. answered questions from prosecutors and lawyers for almost twelve hours, according to French broadcaster Bfmtv. Jean-Marc G. began by recounting the evening of the tragedy, which claimed 41 victims. In front of prosecutors and lawyers, he explained that he had tried to help the victims escape. Present in the courtroom, Jessica Moretti cried when Jean-Marc recounted the moment when they tried to save Cyane Panine. “A very emotional moment,” one participant told Bfmtv. Jean-Marc said that Jacques Moretti had shouted to him that he had found Cyane Panine and that his “adoptive father” had tried to perform CPR on her for an hour. He himself was giving her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. This corroborates the version of events given by the owner of Le Constellation. Jean-Marc G. was also questioned about his relationship with the waitress Cyane Panine, the girl portrayed in a video wearing a helmet and holding bottles with light fountains, which were believed to have caused the fire. He had known her for a while, but they had only been together for a month. When questioned about the relationship between Panine and the Morettis, Jean-Marc recalled that the girl liked the couple. She had even spent her last Christmas with them and had nicknamed Mrs. Moretti “Aunt Jessica.” When asked about the closed service door, the man agreed with Moretti’s statement that it had been closed by an employee who left Crans-Montana immediately after the massacre and who, according to Jean-Marc, had arrived at the club on New Year’s Eve to bring ice cubes to the bar.
