Brussels, 6 February (LaPresse) – If the United States is seriously interested in including China in a potential multilateral dialogue on nuclear arms control, Washington’s NATO allies, the United Kingdom and France, should also participate. This was stated by Gennady Gatilov, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other international organisations in Geneva. ‘If we seriously consider a multilateral dialogue on nuclear arms control, and in particular the multilateral reduction of nuclear weapons, then it will be of paramount importance for Russia to involve Britain and France, which are military allies of the United States in NATO, which proclaims itself a nuclear alliance, in this interaction,’ he said at the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.
