Milan, 16 February (LaPresse) – A train derailed in Switzerland at around 7 a.m. this morning in Goppenstein, in the canton of Valais. This was reported by the cantonal police, who added that there are likely to be injuries and that emergency services are on site. The Swiss railway company SBB’s website states that rail traffic has been interrupted between Goppenstein and Brig (on the Frutigen-Brig line) due to an avalanche.
