Iran, Pezeshkian: ‘We will not bow down to world powers’

Turin, 21 February (LaPresse) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has made it clear that Tehran will not bow to pressure from other international powers in the context of nuclear negotiations with the United States. ‘We have made a pact with the government: even if all the world’s powers unjustly oppose us to force us to submit, we will not give in,’ Pezeshkian said in a speech broadcast on state television. ‘You did not surrender to difficulties, and we too, despite all the problems they have created and the wounds inflicted on our society, will not surrender to problems and coercion,’ he added. ‘Even if the world, with disloyalty and power, has lined up to force us to bow our heads (…) we will not bow to these problems. Despite all the complications and problems they have created for us, and despite the wounds inflicted on society that we must heal,’ Pezeshkian remarked.
