Iran, Trump: ‘It is false that the military is opposed to war against Tehran’

Washington (USA), 24 February (LaPresse) – Donald Trump has dismissed as ‘false’ press reports that Pentagon leaders are opposed to a prolonged military operation against Iran. ‘There have been numerous stories circulating in the fake news media that General Daniel Caine, sometimes referred to as “Razin”, is opposed to our war against Iran,’ the US president writes on Truth. ‘General Caine, like all of us, would prefer not to see war, but if we decide to go against Iran militarily, he is convinced it will be an easy victory,’ Trump says. ‘Everything that has been written about a potential war with Iran has been written incorrectly, and on purpose. I am the one who makes the decision. I would prefer an agreement rather than no agreement, but if we don’t reach one, it will be a very bad day for that country and, unfortunately, for its people, because they are great and wonderful, and something like this should never have happened,’ the US president concludes.
