Ukraine, Zelensky: ‘I hope EU accession will be feasible in 2027’

Brussels, 24 February (LaPresse) – “I would like to thank all our European friends and partners, all those in the European Union who are on the right side of history and are helping us, Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. It is essential that we have begun to work on the details of a fundamental geopolitical security guarantee for Ukraine and for the whole of Europe, and a clear date for Ukraine’s accession to the EU, 2027, is very important for us, and I hope feasible. I hope that Putin will not be able to block our accession for decades’. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Kiev with European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
