Kyiv, Feb. 25 (LaPresse) – With President Trump, “we discussed the issues that our representatives will address tomorrow in Geneva during the bilateral meeting, as well as preparations for the next meeting of the full negotiating teams in trilateral format at the beginning of March. We expect this meeting to create an opportunity to move the talks to the leader level. President Trump supports this sequence of steps. This is the only way to resolve all complex and delicate issues and finally put an end to the war.” This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X, reporting on the conversation with the U.S. leader. According to him, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner also participated in the discussion. “Our teams are working intensively, and I thanked them for all their work and for their active involvement in the negotiations and efforts to end the war,” declares the Ukrainian president. “We also greatly appreciate the Purl initiative. This winter has been the most difficult for Ukraine, but the missiles for the air defense systems we are purchasing from the United States are helping us face all these challenges and save lives,” he adds.
