Ukraine: Umerov, talks today in Geneva with Witkoff and Kushner

Rome, 26 February (LaPresse) – ‘Today in Geneva, we are continuing our work in the negotiation process with a bilateral meeting with the American delegation composed of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.’ This was written on Telegram by Kiev’s chief negotiator, Rustem Umerov. ‘Together with the government’s economic team, we will work out the details of the prosperity package: mechanisms for economic support and recovery in Ukraine, tools to attract investment and long-term cooperation,’ he said. ‘We will also discuss preparations for the next round of trilateral negotiations with the participation of the Russian side. It is necessary to synchronise positions before this stage,’ Umerov said. ‘An important element is the humanitarian issue. We are counting on concrete results regarding the return of our citizens. We are working on practical solutions,’ he concluded, explaining that further news will be given after the meeting.
