Ukraine, truce in central Zaporizhzhia area for repairs

Rome, 27 February (LaPresse) – This morning, starting at 7 a.m. local time, a ceasefire was declared in the area of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine to allow for repair and restoration work at the thermoelectric power plant and the Ferrosplavnaya line, “damaged on 10 February by Ukrainian forces”. This was stated by Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev, explaining that the work ‘will take at least a week.’ Likhachev stressed that the ceasefire agreement was reached with the participation of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, and the support of the Russian Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
