Milan, 1 March (LaPresse) – “I am returning to Italy, continuing to manage the delicate situation since yesterday with all the technical tools necessary to do so even abroad. I will return alone, of course, to avoid exposing others who are travelling with me in the current conditions to further danger. I will obviously do so by military aircraft and will leave my family here (who agree with this decision), after ensuring that there are no significant risks for them, as for other Italian and foreign citizens, other than those of unfortunate chance.” Defence Minister Guido Crosetto writes this on X. ‘I continue to work, for them as for others, to find a quick and safe solution in full support of the Farnesina crisis unit,’ says Crosetto. I will return on a military flight, but after paying (an hour ago) at the headquarters of the 31st Wing in Ciampino three times (by my own choice) the amount required for guests on state flights, so as to remove any possibility of attacking me by saying that I returned on a state flight.”
