London (United Kingdom), Mar. 3 (LaPresse) – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the United Kingdom will send a warship and helicopters to Cyprus after a drone struck a British base on the island. Starmer said he informed the President of Cyprus that the UK is deploying helicopters with anti-drone capabilities and the destroyer HMS Dragon to the region. This follows an Iranian-made drone hitting the RAF Akrotiri base over the weekend. Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized the British Prime Minister for his reluctance to join the U.S. and Israel in the war against Iran.
