Madrid (Spain), 4 March (LaPresse/AP) – US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in an interview with CNBC that Spain’s refusal to allow the United States to use the bases in Rota and Moron in the attack on Iran endangered the lives of American citizens. Responding to a question about whether a trade embargo with Spain was possible, as threatened yesterday by US President Donald Trump, Bessent said that ‘it would be a joint effort,’ without providing further explanation.
