Rome, 8 March (LaPresse) – The Israeli army has warned that it will continue to pursue any successor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the US and Israeli attack on Iran, and anyone who attempts to appoint him. “After neutralising the tyrant Khamenei, the Iranian terrorist regime is trying to rebuild itself and elect a new leader. The Iranian Assembly of Experts, which has not met for decades, will soon convene in the city of Qom,‘ Israel ’will continue to pursue any successor and anyone who attempts to appoint a successor,‘ ’we warn all those who intend to participate in the meeting that we will not hesitate to target you. This is a warning!” reads a post published by the IDF in Farsi. The threat came after the Iranian news agency Mehr reported that the religious body that will choose the next Supreme Leader has reached a near-unanimous agreement.
