Crans Montana, Mayor Féraud also under investigation

Rome, 9 March (LaPresse) – The mayor of Crans Montana, Nicolas Féraud, is also reportedly under investigation in connection with the fire that broke out on New Year’s Eve at the “Le Constellation” nightclub, where six Italian youths, among others, lost their lives. This was reported by newspapers belonging to the Swiss group “Tamedia”. The criminal investigation was launched by the Valais Public Prosecutor’s Office on 5 March. Féraud is reportedly under investigation for negligent arson, manslaughter, grievous bodily harm and violations of the responsibilities and obligations imposed by the law on municipalities in relation to protection against fires and natural events. The extension of the investigation also concerns four other people linked to the administration of the Valais resort.
