Valparaiso (Chile), 11 March (LaPresse) – José Antonio Kast is the new president of Chile. In a ceremony still underway in the hall of honour of the Chilean Parliament in Valparaiso, Kast received the presidential sash in the colours of the Chilean flag and the so-called “piocha de O” Higgins’ from the president of the Senate, to whom outgoing president Gabriel Boric had handed it over shortly before.
