Turin, 16 March (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump has warned that NATO faces a “very bleak” future if its allies do not help to secure the Strait of Hormuz as part of the conflict with Iran. “It is only fair that those who benefit from the Strait should help ensure that nothing bad happens,” he said in an interview with the Financial Times. “I think China should also lend a hand, because it gets 90 per cent of its oil from the Strait of Hormuz,” the White House chief noted, adding that his trip to Beijing might be postponed. “We might postpone it,” he admitted, without giving further details.
