Washington (USA), Mar 16 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump, regarding his request to allies to send warships to help the United States escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, said that “numerous countries have told me they are coming,” but specified that “some are very enthusiastic, others not.” Trump complained about the countries that rejected the U.S. requests: “Some are countries that we have helped for many, many years. We protected them from terrible external threats, and they were not so enthusiastic. And the level of enthusiasm matters to me,” the U.S. president said. When asked by a journalist which countries will join the United States, Trump replied: “I prefer not to say yet.” He hinted that the White House will later release a list of the countries.
