Iran: media reports two UNIFIL soldiers killed in attack in southern Lebanon

Milan, 30 March (LaPresse) – Two UN peacekeepers, part of the UNIFIL force, travelling in a convoy were killed today in southern Lebanon when the convoy was “hit by an explosion of unknown origin”. Several other peacekeepers were injured, according to a UN report seen by the New York Times. The two victims join the Indonesian UNIFIL soldier killed overnight in an attack that struck a UNIFIL post near Adchit Al Qusayr, also in southern Lebanon.
