U.S., Trump confirms dismissal of Attorney General Bondi: “She will move to a new role”

Washington (U.S.), Apr 2 (LaPresse) – In a post on Truth, Donald Trump confirmed the dismissal of Attorney General Pam Bondi, which had been reported earlier by U.S. media. “Pam Bondi is a great American patriot and a loyal friend, who has faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year. Pam has done an extraordinary job overseeing a massive crackdown on crime across our country, bringing the number of homicides down to the lowest levels since 1900,” the president wrote. “I care deeply about Pam; she will now move on to take up a much-needed and important new role in the private sector — which will be announced at a date in the near future — while our Deputy Attorney General, and highly talented and distinguished legal mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General,” Trump concluded.
