Milan, Apr. 4 (LaPresse) – “Last night, the grandniece and great-grandniece of the late Major General Qasem Soleimani, a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, were arrested by federal agents following the revocation by Secretary of State Marco Rubio of their status as lawful permanent residents (LPR),” reads the U.S. State Department statement. The department accuses Afshar Soleimani of promoting Iranian regime propaganda while in the United States, celebrating attacks on American soldiers and military installations in the Middle East, praising the new Supreme Leader of Iran, denouncing America as the “Great Satan,” and expressing unconditional support for the Revolutionary Guard, designated as a terrorist organization. “Afshar Soleimani spread this propaganda in favor of the Iranian terrorist regime while leading a luxurious lifestyle in Los Angeles, as evidenced by her frequent posts on her now-deleted Instagram account,” the statement adds. The State Department also notes that earlier this month, Rubio revoked the legal status of Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani, and her husband Seyed Kalantar Motamedi.
