Rome, April 9. (LaPresse/AP) – Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Hezbollah was seeking a ceasefire and said Israeli strikes had killed more than 200 militants in Lebanon in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to more than 1,400 since the fighting began. Katz said Israel stands ready to respond forcefully if Iran launches attacks and continues to strike targets across Lebanon, including the Litani area.
Lebanon, Katz: “Hezbollah is seeking a ceasefire.”
