This was stated by a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun, according to local press reports. ‘Despite the current temporary ceasefire agreement, the United States has further intensified its military deployment and undertaken targeted blockade actions, which will only intensify contradictions, heighten tensions, undermine the already fragile ceasefire and further disrupt the security of passage through the Strait’ of Hormuz, said the spokesperson, responding to a question regarding the announcement by US Central Command of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
