Milan, 17 Apr. (LaPresse) – ‘I fully support the ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel announced yesterday by President Trump. I also express my concern that it may already be undermined by the continuation of military operations’. French President Emmanuel Macron wrote this in a post on X in English. ‘I call for the safety of civilians on both sides of the border between Lebanon and Israel to be guaranteed. Hezbollah must lay down its arms. Israel must respect Lebanese sovereignty and end the war,’ added the French leader.
