Turin, April 18 (LaPresse/AP) – One person was killed and dozens were injured in Russian attacks carried out overnight in Ukraine, local officials said on Saturday. One person was killed in a strike on Mykolaivka, in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, local leader Vadym Filashkin said in a post on social media. Other officials reported that at least 26 people were injured in attacks in northern and eastern Ukraine, including one targeting port infrastructure in the city of Odesa.The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia launched 219 drones overnight, of which 190 were shot down. Meanwhile, a Ukrainian drone attack targeted industrial areas in Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran, in Russia’s Samara region, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said. Both cities host major oil refineries. Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces destroyed 258 Ukrainian drones overnight across 16 Russian regions, as well as over the annexed Crimean peninsula and the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
