(LaPresse) – Speaking at a ceremony marking Remembrance Day for soldiers killed in action and victims of terrorism, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel’s ultimate goal remains the dismantling of Hezbollah. “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have instructed the Israel Defence Forces to act with full force, even during the ceasefire, to protect our soldiers in Lebanon from any threat. Our commitment to the residents of the north remains clear and unequivocal: to ensure their safety. We will act in the same way with regard to the firefights north of the Litani and throughout Lebanon,” his words reported by Ynet. Katz then issued a threat to the current leader of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, who “will pay with the loss of homes and territory, until he pays with the loss of his head as well”.
