Iran: Death sentence carried out on man arrested during protests

Rome, 3 May (LaPresse) – Mehrab Abdollahzadeh, who had been arrested during the Women, Life, Freedom movement, has been executed in Iran. This was reported by the Iran International network. Abdollahzadeh had been placed in solitary confinement following a verbal altercation with an officer in the visiting room at Urmia prison, as reported by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network. Iran also executed two other men on Saturday after the Supreme Court upheld their death sentences for spying for Israel and collaborating with the Mossad intelligence service.
