US-Vatican, Trump: ‘I told Rubio to tell the Pope that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons’

Milan, 8 May (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump told reporters that he had asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio to inform the Pope that Iran “cannot have a nuclear weapon”. “I told him: ‘Tell the Pope, very kindly and respectfully, that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons’,” Trump said, adding that he had also told Rubio to tell Pope Leo XIV that “Iran has killed 42,000 innocent protesters who had no guns or weapons”.
