Rome, 14 May (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump has stated that Chinese President Xi Jinping assured him that Beijing “will not transfer military equipment” to Iran. “This is a statement of great importance,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News, after meeting the Chinese leader. Trump added that Xi had also emphasised that China continues to buy Iranian oil. “At the same time, he said they buy a lot of oil there and would like to continue doing so,” the US president reported.
