Turin, 14 May (LaPresse) – Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court has ordered the pre-trial detention of Andrii Yermak, former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, with bail set at 140 million Ukrainian hryvnias (US$3.18 million). “The request by investigators from Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has been partially granted. A pre-trial detention order has been imposed on the suspect Andrii Yermak for a period of 60 days from the date of his actual arrest. Bail is set at 140 million Ukrainian hryvnias,” the judge stated, according to a report by Ukrainska Pravda. Should he be released on bail, Yermak must report to the authorities whenever requested, inform the authorities of any change of residence or place of work, and not leave Kyiv. He is also required to surrender his passports and to refrain from communicating with other suspects and witnesses. These include the suspects Chernyshov, Mindich, Lysenko, Opalchuk, Siranchuk and Medviedieva.
