Milan, 15 May (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump has reported that he and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed Iran. ‘We have very similar views on how we want this to end,’ said Trump, referring to the US and Israel’s war against Iran. ‘We don’t want them to have a nuclear weapon,’ he added. Then, referring to the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has effectively closed, the US President said: ‘We want the Strait to be open.’ He continued: ‘We want them to sort it out because it’s a mad situation there. A bit mad. And it’s not good, it can’t happen.’ Trump and the Chinese leader had a working tea before heading to a closed-door lunch.
