Italy: Deaths in the Maldives; authorities confirm the death of a soldier involved in the recovery of bodies

Rome, 16 May (LaPresse) – The Maldives National Defence Force has confirmed the death of a soldier involved in the search for the bodies of the four Italians who died during an excursion in the underwater caves of the Vaav Atoll. The soldier was Staff Sergeant Mohammed Mahdi, who died during the dive, the Defence Force reported on X.
