Rome, 16 May (LaPresse) – The Maldivian Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has announced in a statement that it has ‘suspended the operating licence of the dive cruise vessel MV Duke of York indefinitely, pending the outcome of the investigation into the diving accident that occurred in the Vaavu Atoll on 14 May 2026’. Five Italians lost their lives in the accident.
