Milan, 20 May (LaPresse) – Speaking about the Flotilla, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, a guest on the programme ‘Cinque minuti’ on Rai1, confirmed that “the Five Star Movement MP who was detained there, Dario Carotenuto, is leaving this evening” and “a journalist from Il Fatto Quotidiano is also leaving” Alessandro Mantovani, who ‘should arrive tomorrow morning’, he added that ‘we have secured that tomorrow morning from Ramon airport all Italians, as well as the others from the Flotilla who were detained, should be allowed to leave to be taken to Greece or Turkey’. ‘The negotiations are practically concluded; we are seeing what else can be done. They are about to be taken to a detention centre near the airport and tomorrow morning, as soon as the consular visit has taken place, they should be taken to the airport and leave,’ said Tajani. When asked whether the negotiations also concerned the so-called repeat offenders, Tajani replied, ‘it seems so’.
