Ukraine: Russian drone strikes Turkish ship leaving Odessa, 2 injured

Rome, 29 May (LaPresse) – A Russian drone struck a Turkish ship as it was leaving the port of Odessa, causing a fire and injuring two crew members. This was reported by Ukrinform, citing a social media post by the Ukrainian Navy. ‘During the night, the enemy used a drone to attack the merchant ship ANT, flying the flag of Vanuatu (the ship’s owner is based in Turkey), en route from one of the ports in the Odessa region to Turkey with a cargo on board,’ the message reads. A fire broke out following the impact with the ship. Two injured crew members were evacuated by Ukrainian Navy vessels and taken to a medical facility.
