Turin, 11 June (LaPresse) – All 20 Indian crew members of the Jalveer oil tanker are safe and sound following the alleged attack in the Gulf of Oman. This was announced by the Indian Ministry of Shipping, as reported by Al Jazeera. The vessel, flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau, sent out a distress call whilst off the Omani port of Shinas, after a fire broke out in the engine room and funnel area, according to the British maritime risk management firm Vanguard. The vessel, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson told reporters, was attacked by the US Navy.
