Deir al-Balah (Gaza Strip), June 17 (LaPresse) – Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have caused the deaths of 1,005 Palestinians in the eight months since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was reached, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. The enclave has been the scene of almost daily attacks, as well as bombardments and gunfire along the border dividing Gaza into areas controlled by Israel and Palestine. The most recent casualties were recorded following a series of Israeli drone strikes that continued for several days and caused the deaths of several people in central Gaza and Gaza City.
