Russia, massive Ukrainian drone attack: flights suspended at Moscow airports

Moscow, June 18 (LaPresse) – Ukraine hit an oil refinery in Moscow for the second time in a week, causing disruptions to commercial flights at the capital’s airports in one of the largest drone attacks since the start of the Russian invasion. Russian authorities said this. The Russian Defence Ministry stated that overnight its air defences shot down 555 Ukrainian drones across several regions, with nearly 200 intercepted as they approached the Russian capital. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that several drones hit the Moscow Oil Refinery, located in the south-eastern outskirts of the city. The Russian Transport Ministry said that flights at four Moscow airports – Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky – were suspended.
