Rome, 18 June (LaPresse) – ‘Russia will carry out massive attacks on targets in Ukraine on which the combat readiness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces depends’. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, as reported by TASS. Commenting on a recent Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow, Lavrov recalled that President Vladimir Putin had already announced his intention to carry out “large-scale group attacks” against infrastructure deemed crucial to the operational capability of the Ukrainian forces. “This task has been assigned by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and our armed forces are carrying it out and will continue to do so,” the minister said. Lavrov also emphasised that “concrete steps” must follow in response to the actions attributed to Kyiv in the Moscow region, adding that “words are not enough”.
