Zurich (Switzerland), 21 June (LaPresse/AP) – US Vice-President JD Vance has landed in Switzerland to help launch negotiations with the Iranian delegation on Tehran’s nuclear programme. The talks aim to finalise an interim agreement to end the war. Mediators from Qatar and Pakistani leaders are also taking part in the negotiations. Vance’s arrival was delayed due to the escalation of fighting in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah. The situation remains tense, with Iran claiming to have reclosed the Strait of Hormuz, whilst US Central Command maintains that traffic is continuing.
