Washington (USA), June 22 (LaPresse) – The agreement with Iran is not convincing Americans. A new CBS News/YouGov poll reveals that most respondents are skeptical about the memorandum of understanding signed with Tehran. 57% of Americans believe that the conflict with Iran has caused more problems than it has solved. 21% of respondents said the conflict solved more problems than it created, while another 21% said it neither solved nor created additional problems. Most Americans (66%) also believe that the agreement was reached so that the Trump administration could end the conflict, compared to 34% who think it was concluded because the administration believed it had achieved its objectives. A large share of Americans also say that the United States did not achieve the administration’s primary goal of permanently stopping Iran’s nuclear program: 69% say the program has not been stopped, while 31% believe the opposite.
